Where can I take a free Texas U.S. History EOC practice test?
Right here. Sourcebound Prep's practice forms follow the state's design of 64 questions and 78 points, including select-two and two-part questions, with a timer set to the expected four hours, scoring by reporting category and performance level, and an explanation for every answer that names the public record it comes from. There is no account; your progress stays in your browser.
What is in the practice forms
- Forms of 64 questions and 78 points, mixed across the four reporting categories the way the state form is, with 50 one-point and 14 two-point questions (select two of five, and two-part questions).
- A timer you can set to four hours (the agency's expected time), two hours, or off.
- A score in points against the spring 2025 equivalents of Approaches, Meets and Masters, and a score for each reporting category.
- A review of every question with its explanation and the source it was written from: National Archives milestone documents, Supreme Court opinions, statutes, presidential papers and federal agency histories.
- A study mode that works through every question in a category, and a glossary deck.
How the questions were made and checked
The questions are organized by the agency's eligible student expectations and reporting categories. Each was written from a public record and its explanation cites it. Dates, amendment numbers and case holdings were cross-checked against the sources by script, and every quotation was matched word for word to its source. The questions were drafted with artificial-intelligence tools under human editorial direction; independent model reviewers then tried to prove each keyed answer wrong or ambiguous before publication. The method, the review status and the corrections log are on the About page. These are original questions, not the state's secure items; the state's own released forms are linked below.
The printed guide
The same questions, four review chapters and quick-review sheets are in the Texas U.S. History EOC Study Guide.
