The 2026-27 windows

AdministrationDates
December 2026November 30 to December 11, 2026
Spring 2027April 12 to April 23, 2027
June 2027June 14 to June 25, 2027

These are the end-of-course windows in the agency's 2026-2027 Student Assessment Testing Calendar. The manual says the five end-of-course assessments are administered at the end of the fall semester, at the end of the spring semester, and in the summer, giving eligible students three opportunities each year. Your district picks the days inside each window.

Who tests when

The manual says students at any grade level take the end-of-course assessment as they complete the corresponding course, because participation is required for federal accountability and passing satisfies the state testing requirement for graduation. Students are required to test at the first opportunity after the course, but not at every retest opportunity; see retests and substitutes.

After 2027

From the 2027-28 school year the state's new program keeps the December and June opportunities for end-of-year end-of-course tests, according to the agency's House Bill 8 questions and answers; see what changes in 2027-28.
